Gir Birding Lodge: Right where you would want to be
The Gir Birding Lodge is a living example of transformation in action. What was once barren land is now alive with Kesar Mango orchards and other generously canopied trees. These naturally attract a large variety of birds to the property itself, which means your bird watching begins even before you venture out.
Sharing its boundary with the Gir National Park, the lodge is spread over 22 acres and proves to the perfect base to explore the magnificent forests. This vantage location gives the guests at the Lodge a distinct edge when it comes to viewing the Gir Lions and other wild animals.
So whether you want to take nature walks in the Maldhari areas, go on a safari in the Gir Forests, or simply want to find the perfect hides to catch and photograph birds, the team of in-house naturalists are well-versed with taking you for birding walks, hide photography and herpetology excursions.
In case you need help with equipment, please inform in advance and they will take care of it too.
The Lodge is also proud to offer a library of natural history to its guests.
